Dr. Joe Hutcheson
Regional Liaison North

Dr. Hutcheson joined Morgan County Middle School in the summer of 2006. Over the past few years, Dr. Hutcheson has been very involved in state organizations serving on the Board of Directors and as the District Coordinator for the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals; a member of the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals; and on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Middle School Association. In 2008, Dr. Hutcheson was named as the winner of the Mike Campbell Exemplary Leadership Award and in 2009 was named as the Jim Puckett Outstanding Educator for the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. Prior to coming to Morgan County Middle, Dr. Hutcheson was an assistant principal at Northside High School from 2002 until 2006 and director of bands at Perry High School, where he was named “Teacher of the Year” in 2000 and was a finalist for Houston County “Teacher of the Year.” Along with the Perry High School Band, he had the privilege to work with Disney Studios in making the motion picture Remember the Titans, where he arranged the marching band music as well as directed the band. Before working in Houston County, Dr. Hutcheson was band director for Thomson Middle School and served as associate band director for Thomson High School from 1990 until 1995. Dr. Hutcheson and his wife Diann have two boys Camden and Brayden.
