Mr. James Allen
President

James Allen is the current President of the Georgia Middle School Association. He has served in that role since 2007. Mr. Allen is the Principal of Factory Shoals Middle School in Douglas County. Prior to opening Factory Shoals in 2007, Mr. Allen served as an assistant principal in Douglas, Coweta and Fulton Counties. He has also worked at the collegiate level as a basketball and track coach.

Mr. Allen is a member of and held office in Georgia Association of Middle School Principals. He has been recognized for his service to education by being named 2005 Middle Level Assistant Principal of the Year; Mike Campbell Exemplary Leadership Award from Georgia Association of Middle School Principals; PDK Leadership and Service Award and Outstanding Educator Award from Georgia College and State University.
